We are Mercedes-Benz.io. Our mission is to ignite and build the digital solutions for Mercedes-Benz by forming a tribe of digital enthusiasts that drive Mercedes-Benz digital future.

Therefore, we offer you flexibility! You can choose to work from our office in Lisbon, or remotely from any location in Mainland Portugal. Nonetheless, our tribe is our beating heart so we often organize company events and gatherings to bring MB.ioneers together. While some are optional, we would require your presence for certain team events and/or occasions.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

As a Summer Intern, you’ll become an integral part of our cross-functional teams, working alongside engineers, analysts, designers, and product experts on real-world projects that have global reach and impact.

You’ll gain hands-on experience from day one and be encouraged to contribute ideas, take ownership of tasks, and build solutions that are used in over 60 countries.

This is a full-time summer internship based in Lisbon and English is our working language. You will be assigned an onboarding buddy to support you during the internship.

As a Frontend Engineer Intern, you will:

  • Support the development of modern user interfaces that enhance the digital experience for Mercedes-Benz customers.
  • Help build and maintain web applications using JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js or React.
  • Work with core web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and related libraries to deliver responsive and accessible interfaces.
  • Collaborate closely with design, backend, and QA teams to translate visual concepts into functional components.
  • Learn and apply best practices in UI/UX, web performance, and responsive design to ensure a high-quality user experience.
  • Participate in team discussions to address frontend challenges and propose effective, user-centric solutions.

Job Requirements

TO SUCCEED YOU NEED

  • To be currently finishing your degree in computer science, informatics engineering or related technical field
  • To have a way of working that is characterized by team spirit, excellent communication skills in English (mandatory) and high-quality standards set to yourself for what you produce
  • To be willing to embrace DevOps and Agile methodology
  • To be willing to learn from a multi-disciplinary and multicultural team
  • Some professional experience/internship experiences are a plus but not mandatory.
