About The Role

Join our PDE team as a Staff Full-Stack Engineer, a technical leader pivotal in designing robust systems on AWS that shape our pharmacy management platform. You will own significant architectural areas, drive technical strategy with your deep system design and AWS expertise, and influence our product evolution. This role demands inclusive leadership, mentorship, championing best practices, and leading cross-functional collaboration, leveraging our core stack: Node, TypeScript, React, Postgres, AWS.

What You'll Do

  • Lead & Build: Spearhead the design and development of complex, high-impact features and services, leveraging AWS to ensure scalable, reliable platforms.
  • Elevate Engineering: Champion and evolve software development and system design best practices, lead by example in code reviews and drive initiatives that boost quality and innovation.
  • Mentor & Grow Team: Actively mentor junior and mid-level engineers in areas like system design and AWS architecture, fostering their growth while you make significant technical contributions.
  • Own Critical Problem Solving: Identify, diagnose, and decisively resolve complex technical and system-level production issues, helping our team convert and leverage more AWS where possible.

About You

You are an experienced technical engineer and leader who excels at designing complex, scalable systems (especially on AWS), driving impactful projects, and mentoring others.

Technical Leadership & Architecture:

  • 7+ years of progressive full-stack software development experience, with a strong emphasis on backend systems, API design, and relational databases (specifically Postgres), while possessing the ability to contribute to frontend (ReactJS) development when needed.
  • Proven ability to architect resilient, scalable distributed systems (microservices, event-driven).
  • Extensive hands-on experience architecting, building, deploying, and managing production workloads across diverse AWS services (DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS/SNS, API Gateway and more), focusing on security, scalability, and cost optimization. AWS certifications are a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in backend development (Node.js, TypeScript), API design, and relational databases (Postgres). Familiarity with React is a bonus.
  • Bachelor's/Master's in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical leadership experience.

Expected Full-Time Base Salary: $190,000-$215,000

This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary/wage. The actual base salary/wage will depend on several factors, including experience, knowledge, and skills. Actual compensation packages may include other elements equity, paid time off and benefits.
