As a Software Engineer you will play a critical role on our Agile development team. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining consumer facing web applications and supporting back-end processes in AWS. The Software Engineer II role requires full stack software development skills to help the team scale and enhance the system to meet the needs of our expanding user base and to assist with building a unified platform.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain web applications using Node.js, NestJS, Next.js in AWS.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to define, design and implement new features.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Implement responsive UI components using React and Tailwind CSS.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated with latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Document software designs, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and organizational coding standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in software engineering.
  • Experience with Node.js, NestJS, Next.js, React and Tailwind CSS or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
  • Experience with REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with SDLC, CI/CD, and Agile best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience developing and maintaining cloud native applications in AWS or similar technology.

Hire Range/Rate:

$88,200 - $110,000

Actual compensation offered to candidate will be finalized at offer and may be above or below the posted range due to skill level, experience, industry specific knowledge, education/certifications, or geographic location. The offer rate represents one component of the RE/MAX Holdings total compensation package. Employees will also receive a number of benefits as listed below. Other compensation for this position may include bonus eligibility.
