Position Summary

The Software Developer, Quantum will work with a team of developers and play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in software development, be detail oriented, and have a passion for driving innovative technology solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions that meet customer needs and company objectives.

Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly, have a consistent track record of delivery and excellent software engineering skills. Creative engineering balanced with high quality and a customer focus. Must be able to work across multiple facets of the project and juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time. Required Skills And Experience

  • Experience with PEO payroll, benefits, tax, finance, and HCM software including 3rd party integrations (preferred).
  • Full Lifecycle Development: Participate in the end-to-end development process, including reviewing requirements, design, coding, unit testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on involvement in coding, troubleshooting, and optimizing applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and company standards. Make informed decisions quickly taking ownership of services and applications at scale. Remain cool and effective in a crisis.
  • Code Quality, Security: Follow coding standards, and ensure application security and compliance with industry standards. Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures. Protect operations by keeping information confidential and working with Information Security team to implement best practices in building secure applications.
  • Innovation: Stay updated on the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, integrating relevant solutions into development processes. Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Be a persistent, creative problem ­solver.
  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams including product managers, UX/UI designers, QA, and DevOps to deliver seamless solutions. Collaborate with team to brainstorm and create new products. Work collaboratively with others to achieve goals. Provide information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing development and service issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements in development processes, tools, and practices to enhance team productivity and product quality. Stay on the leading edge of development practices.

Educational And Professional Licensing Or Certification Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Fluent with functional, imperative and object-­oriented languages; knowledge of .Net, C#, SQL, and JavaScript would be especially useful.
  • Either strong OOP or Functional Programing and modeling skills
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Experience building complex web systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
  • Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project.
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates and meet production deadlines.
  • Experience implementing and consuming large-scale web services.
  • Experience with professional software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Database technologies including stored procedures, SSRS and SSIS.
  • Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies.
