About the Role

This company is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Content Creator to join their team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in Canva, keeps up with social media trends, and knows how to turn even the driest topics—like water heaters or breaker boxes—into engaging, scroll-worthy content.

The ideal candidate is trend-savvy, highly organized, and passionate about creating smart, strategic, and on-brand social media posts. While not client-facing, this position works closely with an Account Manager who oversees all communication and meetings with clients.

The Content Creator will be responsible for developing monthly social media content for a portfolio of clients, primarily in the home services industry (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical). Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to make technical topics visually engaging are key to success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Design monthly static social media posts (graphics + captions) using Canva
  • Create monthly Instagram and Facebook Stories in Canva
  • Edit and revise content based on feedback from the Account Manager
  • Adapt content to match each client’s unique tone, brand voice, service area, and goals
  • Schedule approved content using Metricool
  • Ensure brand consistency and maintain high creative quality across all social media posts
  • Collaborate closely with the Account Manager, who handles all client communications (no client-facing duties required)

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in social media and content creation
  • Totally fluent with Canva — not just using beginner-friendly templates, but able to create from scratch, manipulate elements, build consistent layouts, and use Canva’s tools with confidence
  • Highly proficient in Canva and confident using its full range of features
  • Detail-oriented and a strong self-editor
  • Comfortable following established processes and systems
  • Strong attention to clean, engaging copy and cohesive, scroll-stopping design
  • Excellent writing skills with mastery of language, tone, and voice
  • Deep understanding of internet culture, trends, memes, and social media behavior
  • Naturally curious and creative, with a drive to understand what makes content go viral
  • Familiarity with the cultural nuances and user behavior on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Exceptionally organized, self-motivated, and dependable in a remote work environment
  • Open to constructive feedback and committed to continuous growth
  • Understands the role of content in supporting client visibility, authority, and business growth

Bonus Points:

  • Previous professional experience creating social media content
  • Familiarity with the home service industry (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
  • Ability to edit short-form video using tools like CapCut or TikTok (not required but valued for trend awareness)
