This role guides cross-divisional and marketing partners to drive the business and brand forward. It uses marketing strategies and integrated campaigns that reach many customer touchpoints. As an advocate of the REI brand and the co-op’s strengths, this role drives key customer behavior. Leading with innovation, this role uses customer and business insights, the market-leading landscape, and culture to define strategies and deliver results.
Responsibilities And Qualifications
- Develops and drives campaign strategies that achieve business and customer goals. This includes annual strategies, briefs, communication strategies, and go-to-market plans.
- Develops marketing plans focused on specific activities. These plans include marketing goals, customer insights, and the business arc of the activity. They also consider outdoor cultural moments and set prioritized messaging timeframes to guide campaigns.
- Manages full-funnel and omni-campaigns in support of activity plans and prioritized marketing outcomes
- Collaborates with Marketing Planning and Customer Insights team to develop measurable campaign KPIs and supports recapping as needed
- Advocate for what matters to our members by understanding the Customer Plan. Build customer-centered marketing campaigns from strategy to execution.
- Partners closely with Merchandising to pull through compelling product categories, products, and brands through annual marketing plans and campaigns
- Ensures that the customer experience and supporting content, assets, and programs deliver on marketing strategy and goals
- Maximizes campaign potential by considering how to reach customers through paid, owned, earned, employee, and partner channels.
- Assures REI branding and product attributes are appropriately represented in campaigns
- Understands current business performance and opportunities to evolve in-market and future campaign strategies and execution
- Student of retail trends, outdoor culture, consumer behaviors, and outdoor activities to influence marketing innovation and outdoor specialty retail expression
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years with marketing strategy or campaign management experience
- Professional knowledge of marketing competencies including marketing strategies, campaign strategies, briefs, communication strategies, and go-to-market development.
- Experience authoring briefs and communication strategies
- Experience leading full-funnel and omni marketing campaigns
- Proven track record developing integrated marketing strategies and go-to-market plans that meet or exceed business goals.
- Demonstrated ability to manage work in a deadline and process-driven environment
- Demonstrated ability to assess important market requirements and opportunities and identify market-leading opportunities.
- Experience and success in productively managing partners and relationships to develop marketing strategies and campaigns
Preferred Qualifications
- BA in Business, Marketing, or Communications preferred
- Experience working with retailers carrying a broad portfolio of products and brands

Pay Range
$98,300.00 - $157,400.00 per year
