Compudopt, a leading national non-profit organization committed to providing technology access and education to under-resourced youth and communities, is actively seeking a dynamic, innovative, and visionary Senior Director of Marketing & Brand Experience adept in integrated marketing strategies. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this pivotal role will spearhead the strategic planning and implementation of brand-building initiatives and community-centric campaigns to propel the organization's overall growth and impact. As the brand steward, the Senior Director of Marketing & Brand Experience ensures consistent messaging, impactful design, and authentic voice alignment across departments. This leader will manage a high-performing team, collaborate cross-functionally, and oversee campaigns that elevate our mission and advance organizational goals in earned revenue, fundraising, and community impact.

Major Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and lead the development and execution of an integrated marketing strategy that increases brand awareness, promotes services, supports earned revenue, fundraising, and organizational goals.
  • Serve as the organization’s brand steward—defining, protecting, and evolving the brand identity and voice across all materials and platforms.
  • Act as the primary marketing lead across the organization, ensuring alignment and integration of messaging and visuals across all programs, campaigns, and departments.
  • Collaborate closely with the Digital Marketing Team to ensure cohesion across offline and online marketing strategies, including website, email, and social media.

Creative Oversight

  • Lead the creation and production of all visual assets and collateral, including print and digital materials, presentations, reports, toolkits, and campaign graphics.
  • Own and maintain brand guidelines and templates, and provide internal support to ensure high-quality design consistency across teams.
  • Manage or directly produce graphic design assets as needed (Adobe Creative Suite or other design tools).

Campaigns & Content

  • Oversee the planning and execution of marketing campaigns that drive visibility, enrollment in programs, increase community engagement, and elevate the organization’s national profile.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop messaging frameworks and compelling storytelling for a variety of audiences, including funders, community partners, and the media.
  • Manage public relations efforts, press outreach, and thought leadership opportunities to position the organization as a national voice in digital opportunity.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and grow an adaptive, high-performing marketing team; provide mentorship, oversight, and professional development opportunities.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support staff according to organizational policies and guidelines.
  • Manage external vendors, contractors, and creative agencies as needed.
  • Serve as a senior collaborator across the organization, working with programs, partnerships, fundraising, and operations to meet shared objectives.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or brand strategy with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proficiency in graphic design and creative direction; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)
  • Strong portfolio of experience developing integrated marketing strategies and managing organizational brand presence.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, deliver high-quality work, and lead creative projects from concept to completion.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit, education, or mission-driven organization.
  • Background in public relations, media relations, or thought leadership development.
  • Familiarity with customer/audience journey mapping and experience design (User Experience UX/Customer Experience CX).
  • Experience managing a remote or hybrid team environment.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Experience managing brand identity, voice, and consistency across all touchpoints and materials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft clear, compelling, and audience-appropriate messaging.
  • Deep understanding of multichannel marketing, audience segmentation, campaign development, and performance analysis.
  • Skilled in coaching, performance evaluation, and supporting team growth; experienced in managing remote or hybrid teams.
  • Passion for digital opportunity, technology access, and social impact.
  • Proficiency in marketing platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, email marketing tools, CMS), design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), and project management systems

Salary is one component of Compudopt’s total compensation package, which also includes:

  • Employer paid medical contributions up to $7015.20 annually.
  • Employer paid short-term disability and basic life insurance.
  • Two fully paid medical plan options for employee-only coverage.
  • Up to 4% 401K employer match
  • Generous, above-market leave policies including 17 company-paid holidays, 80 hours minimum of PTO, and 48 hours of paid sick leave each calendar year with increases from 3 years of service and longer.
