Base salary in the range of $150,000 to $200,000 plus equity. Minimum Experience Required: 5+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python or Go. The Opportunity: We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to lead our backend development efforts. You will design, build, and scale our backend systems, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural decisions. What You'll Do:

  • Design and implement high-performance backend services using Python or Go.
  • Lead architectural discussions and contribute to system design.
  • Mentor and guide junior backend developers.
  • Optimize database performance and scalability.
  • Design and build robust APIs (RESTful or GraphQL).
  • Implement complex business logic and algorithms.
  • Ensure code quality and maintainability through code reviews and testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python or Go.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
  • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
  • Expertise in API design (RESTful or GraphQL).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Contributions to open-source projects.
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring and optimization tools.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture.
