We’re looking for a talented Senior Backend Developer to help us build the ultimate platform for canteens—managing menus, orders, and user engagement. You’ll be working on a platform that serves thousands of daily users, ensuring a smooth, high-quality experience across platforms.

At Kanpla, your role makes a real difference. As a Senior Backend Engineer at our company, you will focus on improving the scalability, stability, and speed of the Kanpla platform. This role is key to helping us build a high-performing, scalable, and efficient backend architecture.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services
  • Ensure the security, performance, and scalability of APIs and services.
  • Address technical debt and improve the efficiency and stability of our backend systems.
  • Assist in making decisions on new developments and technologies to be used.
  • Contribute to proposals for our technical direction.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in improving backend systems, reducing costs, and increasing speed.
  • Experience with building backends with Node.js and typescript.
  • Deep knowledge of modern backend technologies and databases (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS), databases, and caching layers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to address technical debt.
