Python Engineer - Remote (LATAM Candidates)

We are looking for a highly skilled Python Engineer based in Latin America for a full-time contract opportunity. This is a 100% remote role with flexibility to collaborate across U.S. Central Time (CT) hours.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and optimize backend services and APIs using Python.
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers and product teams to build scalable, efficient solutions.
  • Implement best practices in software architecture, automated testing, and performance optimization.
  • Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to ensure data integrity and efficient storage.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL services to enhance system functionality.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in Python, modern backend frameworks, and infrastructure tooling.
  • Ensure security, scalability, and maintainability of the codebase.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience developing backend services and APIs using Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Python 3+, modern Python ecosystem, and related tools.
  • Experience working with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB) databases.
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub/GitLab for version control.
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for deployment and scalability.
  • Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

Bonus: Experience with microservices, CI/CD, automated testing (Pytest, UnitTest), and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
