Marketing Communications Internship, UK (12 months)

Who We Are

Olink Proteomics is a rapidly growing life science company committed to advancing the understanding of human diseases through proteomics. Our novel Proximity Extension Assays (PEA) are used by scientists across the globe to find novel protein biomarker signatures to predict, detect and monitor disease status and treatment efficacy and gain a fuller understanding of human biology in the research setting. We allow researchers to interrogate hundreds-to-thousands of protein biomarkers simultaneously in a high-throughput and reproducible manner, all from just a few microliters of sample.

Olink now enables researchers to bring our platform into their labs and provides the requisite training to ensure success. In addition, we continue to offer services through our labs in Uppsala, Sweden and Watertown, MA.

Position Description

As part of the company growth strategy, we are looking for an 12 month energetic internship to support our Marketing Communications team whom own the Marcom strategy and the creative platform, being responsible for designing campaigns and supporting program design for the region. This internship is about developing real world experience in a company that is a leader in the markets it serves.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in designing marketing communications materials, such as: brochures, flyers, emails, landing pages.
• Support project management of internal and external events, and help communicate outcome with other regions whenever appropriate.
• Support the organization of events across the whole of Europe.
• Prepare monthly event dashboard, to be shared with EMEA and marketing management team.
• Track email metrics and suggest improvements for next waves/future emails.
• Update interactive tools used at conferences (iPad, IT systems), booth designs, latest literature and information and shipping support.
• Creating and scheduling social media posts.
• Tracking inventory and organizing logistics.

Qualifications/Skills

• Studying/studied a Marketing/communication degree
• Currently in their second year at university, looking to take a placement year/sandwich year or or recently graduated.
• Some understanding of basic biology and willingness to learn more about our solutions is a plus.
• Some previous experience in organizing events is a plus.
• Fluent English oral and written
• Solid knowledge of standard Microsoft software suite
• A team player with solid interpersonal skills
• Solid communication skills
• Willingness to learn new technologies and applications.

The role can either be remote from the anywhere in the UK or hybrid from our headquarter in Uppsala Sweden.
