Junior Developer
Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Developer/Programmer to join our Data Automation Team. The successful candidate will report to Senior Processing Engineer and work closely with the wider DAS Development team to develop and maintain applications, scripts, workflows, and data models. This role is ideal for someone with 1-3 years of experience in programming and a strong foundation in Python and coding basics. The ideal candidate will have good coding fundamentals and be able to pick up and learn concepts quickly. The team delivers a broad range of workflows to the Operations Unit, external and internal clients as well as projects that span multiple departments.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain applications and scripts for data automation.
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement data models.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.
- Document processes and code for future reference.
Requirements and Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in programming, particularly with Python.
- Strong understanding of coding basics and software development principles.
- Experience working on applications, scripts, and data models.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Education and Experience Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics or other relevant degree.
