About The Role

We are hiring a mid-level React/Next.js Developer for a 3-month contract-to-hire role. The ideal candidate is experienced in building scalable, fast, and accessible front-end applications using React and Next.js. You will be responsible for building new features, integrating APIs, ensuring performance and responsiveness, and guiding contract developers on technical execution. This position is 100% remote and offers full-time work with opportunities for growth and innovation in a modern, agile environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a front-end or full-stack developer
  • Strong expertise with React.js and Next.js, including SSR and SSG
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript (ES6+)
  • Experience with styled-components and responsive layout systems
  • Familiarity with RESTful and GraphQL APIs
  • CMS integration experience (e.g., WordPress or Umbraco)
  • Proficient with Git, CI/CD workflows, and agile collaboration tools
  • Strong debugging and testing skills
  • Experience reviewing code and guiding contract developers on a task level
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bonus: Familiarity with C# or .NET and use of AI development tools like Cursor

Responsibilities

  • Develop new features and reusable components using React and Next.js
  • Build performant, accessible web pages with server-side rendering and static generation
  • Integrate third-party APIs and CMS platforms
  • Conduct code reviews and provide task-based support to contract developers
  • Ensure mobile responsiveness, performance optimization, and accessibility compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, development, and stakeholders
  • Stay up to date with front-end technologies and contribute to process improvements
