JavaScript Engineer - Remote (LATAM Candidates)

We are looking for a highly skilled JavaScript Engineer based in Latin America for a full-time contract opportunity. This is a 100% remote role with flexibility to collaborate across U.S. Central Time (CT) hours.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain dynamic frontend or backend systems using modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, high-performance applications.
  • Implement best practices for clean code, testing, and application performance.
  • Work with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party integrations.
  • Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and agile ceremonies.
  • Ensure responsiveness, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends in JavaScript, Node.js, and web development.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience with JavaScript (ES6+) and modern frameworks such as React, Next.js, Node.js, or Vue.
  • Experience building APIs or full-stack applications using JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and browser-based performance.
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub/GitLab for version control.
  • Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Firebase).
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Comfort working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).

Bonus: Experience with SSR, testing libraries (Jest, Cypress), Docker, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
