About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Engineer with expertise in the Spring Framework to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of microservice architecture, Spring Boot, Hibernate, database design, and REST APIs. This is a hands-on role requiring strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable and robust backend services that drive our core financial applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and enhancements.

Implement and optimize RESTful APIs that integrate with frontend applications and third-party services.

Ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance through best practices in design, coding, and testing.

Create and manage relational databases with efficient database schema design, primarily using MySQL.

Work on cloud-native development in AWS or Azure environments.

Participate in system architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.

Implement DevOps practices including CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and orchestration using Kubernetes.

Maintain source code using Git and follow best practices for code management.

Collaborate with QA, Product, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth development and deployment cycles.

Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications And Skills

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

2–5 years of hands-on experience in software development with a strong focus on Java and Spring Framework.

Deep understanding of microservice architecture and design patterns.

Strong experience with Hibernate, Spring Boot, and REST API development.

Proficient in database design with strong MySQL knowledge.

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.

Exposure to NoSQL databases, messaging systems (e.g., Kafka), and caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis) is a plus.

Knowledge of API gateway design and deployment architecture.

Proficiency in Git-based code management and collaboration tools.

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for deployment and container management.

Familiarity with build tools and CI/CD pipelines.

Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Experience working in Agile development teams and methodologies.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
