The PM Canada Business Development team is responsible for New Business across the three media brands – Starcom, Spark Foundry, and Zenith. The team supports local market pitches in the areas of pitch logistics, production, operations, and output management.

Publicis Media is seeking a highly creative and skilled In-House Design Expert to join our team. This role will prioritize the creation of presentation decks, award/idea videos, mock-ups, and data visualizations.

Chemistry within our team is very important – Publicis is looking for an individual who can collaborate with people from a variety of departments and seniority levels. Additionally, time management and navigating multiple overlapping deliverables will be critical.

As a presentation designer, you will play a crucial role in crafting visually engaging and effective

presentations for various purposes such as business pitches, credential/educational materials and more. Your primary responsibility will be to transform complex ideas, data and concepts into

compelling visual narratives that effectively communicate key messages and captivate audiences. In addition, the candidate will have video editing capabilities to help bring ideas or concepts to life in an impactful video format (idea videos, award submissions) and visual mockups.

Please note this is a 3 month contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Design Creation: Develop visually appealing presentation decks from scratch or based on existing templates, incorporating branding elements, colour schemes, typography and imagery to create cohesive and professional designs.
  • Content Visualization: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their objectives and content requirements, and translate abstract ideas, data sets, and textual information into clear, concise and visually impactful slides.
  • Graphic Design: Utilize design tools and software to create custom graphics, icons, diagrams, charts and infographics that enhance understanding and engagement.
  • Deadline Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively and adhere to project timelines to deliver high-quality presentation decks within established deadlines.
  • Stay Updated: Continuous learning and knowledge of emerging design trends, presentation techniques and software tools to continuously improve design skills and stay ahead of industry standards.
  • Award/Idea Video Creation: Storyboard and produce engaging and innovative videos for award submissions and idea presentations, utilizing advanced video editing and animation techniques.
  • Mock-Ups: Create detailed and realistic mock-ups for various projects, including product designs, marketing materials, and digital interfaces.
  • Data Visualization: Transform complex data sets into clear, visually appealing, and easy-to-understand graphics and charts to support decision-making processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, sales, and product teams to understand project requirements and deliver designs that meet business objectives.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all designs adhere to the company’s brand guidelines and maintain a consistent and professional visual identity across all materials.
  • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve the quality and impact of design work.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years relevant design experience
  • Undergraduate degree or post-secondary certificate in Graphic Design
  • Proven experience (portfolio required) in graphic design, specifically in creating presentation
  • decks or related materials
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
  • Proficiency in Google Slides, PowerPoint and Keynote
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory and layout composition
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Able to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Demonstrate artistic ability
  • Attention to detail, creativity and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards
