About Us:
Kaleshi Collective is not your average merch store. We’re an upcoming bold, feminist, desi brand building unapologetic, culturally-rooted, conversation-starting merch — from oversized tees to posters to totes. Think: comic book chaos meets protest placards.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re on the hunt for a graphic designer who can help bring a full collection of our merch to life. This isn’t a one-logo-and-done deal — this is a full-on design drop. The project will include a wide range of graphics for print-on-demand products and digital storefronts.
Your Design Style Should Be Able to Span:
- Typeface-led designs that feel iconic and wearable — strong, minimalist, and unmistakable.
- Kitschy pop-art/comic book styles that play with colour, drama, and nostalgia.
- Culture-soaked references that speak to desi feminism, rage, resistance, humour, and community.
- The ability to know when to be bold and bright, and when to be understated and clever.
You’ll Be Doing Things Like:
- Designing 15–20 graphics for tees, totes, and posters
- Helping shape the visual language of our drop (moodboards, references, typography choices)
- Prepping print-ready files for manufacturers
- Collaborating directly with the brand founder and a copywriter
We’d Love It If You Have:
- 1-3 years of experience as a Graphic Designer
- A strong portfolio with both text-based and illustrated work
- Experience with merch design, fashion graphics, or similar
- A deep understanding of Indian pop culture, meme culture, and feminist discourse
- Comfort working independently and meeting deadlines
- Access to Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent
Bonus if:
- You’ve ever designed something that went semi-viral
- You understand how to make stuff print well (halftones, resolution, colour modes, etc.)
- You can work fast without compromising taste
