A Graphic Designer for TrueSense Marketing has a solid set of design skills, a thorough knowledge of design tools, and a strong capacity for managing the many details needed to produce direct marketing (including direct mail) campaigns across a variety of clients. He/she is able to balance their workload across multiple, complex, time-sensitive campaigns, and have proven ability to take direction from superiors. They exhibit a solid understanding of design, as well as maintain a strong attention to detail.
This is a temporary, contract position with the workload being 20-25 hours a week over 18 weeks.
Essential Functions:
- Designs direct marketing packages, with a focus on direct mail, and other print media, at the direction of a Creative Director or Art Director assigned to the client account.
- Is detail-oriented and is able to take already-designed work and make client-specific changes to meet the needs of individual clients.
- Forms strong working partnerships with fellow creative colleagues, as well as the client service, print purchasing, and production groups.
- Creates, modifies, and follows printing specifications for direct mail jobs.
- Follows brand standards and keep track of client details.
- Prepares mock-ups of work for client approval, internal review, and files for print production.
- Helps identify stock and other photos, as necessary.
- Stays current on direct mail and postal design requirements to ensure successful projects.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in graphic arts field.
- 2+ years of design experience, experience in direct mail. Previous agency experience and/or fundraising experience preferred.
- Previous knowledge of USPS regulations and mailing rules.
- Willingness to learn direct response fundraising concepts, best practices, tactics, and techniques, and apply to one’s work.
- Must possess excellent project management skills and work quickly and efficiently, while maintaining quality and solid detail.
