You’ll work on an exciting variety of projects spanning both digital and print formats, from eye-catching social media graphics and website elements to professional print marketing materials, brand style guides, flyers, brochures, and banners.

We’re looking for a designer with 3+ years of experience who understands current design trends and can bring innovative concepts to each project. You’ll collaborate with our internal team and project managers to deliver creative solutions that help our clients stand out in competitive markets. Tree Ring Digital is a Denver-based digital marketing agency established in 2010, specializing in website design and development, SEO, Google Ads, social media marketing, and comprehensive digital strategies. We serve businesses across all industries, from technology and professional services to construction and consumer brands, helping them increase revenue and build lasting brand awareness through creative, results-driven marketing solutions.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities (including, But Not Limited To)

Creative Design & Project Execution:

  • Design engaging social media graphics, website elements, and digital marketing materials.
  • Create print marketing materials including flyers, brochures, banners, and promotional items.
  • Develop brand style guides and maintain visual consistency across client projects.
  • Collaborate with team members to conceptualize and execute creative campaigns.
  • Ensure all designs align with client goals and target audience preferences.

Technical Proficiency & Software Management

  • Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) for all design projects.
  • Maintain organized file management and version control for client assets.
  • Prepare print-ready files and digital assets in appropriate formats.
  • Stay current with design software updates and new features.

Client Collaboration & Communication

  • Participate in project briefings and strategy discussions via Zoom or phone calls during business hours (9 AM – 5:30 PM MST).
  • Present design concepts and incorporate feedback efficiently.
  • Meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Communicate project status and any potential challenges proactively.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of professional graphic design experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) – required.
  • Understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
  • Experience with both digital and print design projects.
  • Portfolio demonstrating creative problem-solving across various industries.
  • Familiarity with current design trends and best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of Canva as a supplementary tool (Adobe Creative Suite proficiency is primary requirement).

  • Work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Adapt creative approach based on different client needs and brand personalities.
  • Meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Take constructive feedback and implement revisions efficiently.
  • Stay organized and maintain clear communication throughout project timelines.
  • Work flexible hours as long as deadlines are met and client calls are handled during business hours.

What We Offer The Right Candidate

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $30-$50/hour, with the flexibility to transition to project-based pricing based on your experience and project scope.

You’ll have complete work-from-home flexibility with the freedom to work any hours as long as deadlines are met, while client communication is handled via Zoom or phone during our standard business hours (Monday-Friday, 9 AM – 5:30 PM MST).

This role provides variety through exciting projects across multiple industries, giving you the opportunity to work with both established brands and growing businesses in a supportive team environment with collaborative project management. There’s potential for increased hours if you have additional skills in web design (Figma/XD) or social media content creation (reels/stories).
