The Opportunity

Our Engineering team is looking for a talented full-stack Software Engineer in Austin, TX or remote that can and is willing to work across our software stack and help us push the envelope on some challenging initiatives. As part of a small Agile team, some of the challenges you’ll encounter include developing and maintaining web applications and related support infrastructure, including AWS services. You will also occasionally work with DevOps on Kubernetes and Helm requirements for deployment. Our languages and frameworks include, but aren’t limited to: Java (Spring), Python, JavaScript/TypeScript and React.

You are a talented engineer that can master various programming domains with a willingness to get your hands dirty: Help implement an advanced UI? No problem. Help advance our service layer? Yep, I can do that too. Help solve a scalability issue? I’ll dig in. You are also the type of person that is constantly learning and bringing new ideas to the table that make us better as a team. You embrace an Agile culture. You are someone who can inspire, lead by example, and hold peers to a high bar of quality, while keeping a positive and supportive team environment where it is okay to ask questions and learn. At the end of the day, you are excited about delivering business value to our customers.

What You'll Bring

An ideal core set of skills that we are looking for:

  • Solid experience developing consumer-facing web applications and supporting infrastructure
  • Strong skills in Java (Spring) and Python
  • Experience with JavaScript (including TypeScript), CSS, and React
  • Experience with databases such as Postgres and DynamoDB
  • Experience with containerization and various AWS technologies
  • Familiarity working with enterprise-level data in both single and multi-tenant environments
  • An ability/willingness to pick up new languages/technologies quickly, as needed
  • Experience with and passion for Agile development practices
  • A passion for building great software and a true dedication to writing quality code that is testable, maintainable and performant
  • Nice to have: AWS Developer associate certification
