THE ROLE

We’re hiring a senior full-stack engineer to lead front-end architecture and contribute across the stack as we scale our enterprise SaaS platform. You’ll work closely with product and design to build high-quality, user-centric features using React/TypeScript and Python/FastAPI. This is a hands-on role for a pragmatic builder who thrives in fast-paced, zero-to-one environments and takes full ownership of delivering scalable, maintainable software.

Location: we have a preference for someone near Austin (the Platform team hub), but are definitely open to a fully remote (U.S. based) role for the right person.

YOU WILL

  • Assume ownership of front-end architecture and development
  • Collaborate closely with the product team to deliver user-focused, high-quality features
  • Implement React/TypeScript-based frontend applications adhering to Nocklo's coding standards and best practices
  • Develop backend services using Python/FastAPI, ensuring seamless integration with frontend components
  • Contribute actively to the full-stack development lifecycle, from feature definition through to deployment
  • Document technical decisions, architecture, and development processes clearly for stakeholders and team members

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of professional experience in full-stack software engineering
  • Extensive experience in React and TypeScript for frontend development
  • Proven expertise in backend development using Python, preferably FastAPI
  • Experience developing and deploying cloud-native applications (AWS preferred)
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
  • Experience in enterprise SaaS environments
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or related field preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

  • Prior 0-to-1 product development experience
  • Prior work with financial or accounting software
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (AWS CDK or similar)
  • Experience with finance, data analytics, or data visualization
  • Background in developing automated CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions

PERKS

  • Full Medical/Dental/Vision + 401(k)
  • Unlimited PTO + flexible work hours & location (we're remote first)
  • Opportunity to play a foundational role at a well-funded startup with major clients
  • Work with people like yourself—talented and thoughtful; passionate about solving challenging problems
