We're hiring a Full Stack Engineer with deep experience in the MERN stack and Nest.js to lead development on our core platform. You'll work across the full lifecycle: auditing the current system, building new features, improving infrastructure, and ensuring performance and scalability.
This is a high-impact, high-ownership role in a remote-first, async-friendly environment.
Responsibilities:
- Take over and evolve a full stack platform built by an external team
- Build performant, modern UIs using React.js + TypeScript
- Extend and maintain robust backend APIs using Nest.js + Node.js
- Optimize data models and queries with MongoDB + Mongoose
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, and DevOps workflows
- Deploy cloud-native applications on Azure, DigitalOcean, or AWS
- Implement observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) for monitoring and alerts
- Partner with design, product, and leadership to shape features and technical direction
- Help define engineering culture, standards, and future team structure

Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in full stack or backend engineering
- Proven expertise in MERN stack and Nest.js
- Solid grasp of TypeScript and modern frontend practices
- Experience taking over and improving existing codebases
- Hands-on with Docker, CI/CD tools, and cloud deployment workflows
- Strong written and verbal communication; thrives in async, remote-first teams
- Experience with microservices or distributed systems
- Familiarity with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda)
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Real-time data handling (WebSockets, MQTT)
- Contributions to open-source or active in dev communities
