About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Full Stack Developer with a strong background in healthcare technology to join our remote-first team. This role will be instrumental in building and scaling mission-critical systems that support healthcare operations and data workflows. The ideal candidate is an independent problem solver, an excellent communicator, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using React for the frontend and Node.js with Express for the backend.
  • Design and manage cloud-based and relational databases using PostgreSQL and Snowflake.
  • Build and maintain robust, secure APIs and services for internal and external integrations.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions in collaboration with the Product Manager and executive leadership.
  • Take ownership of projects, managing priorities independently while ensuring high-quality code and architecture.
  • Proactively identify performance bottlenecks, propose improvements, and help evolve the platform to meet growing demands.
  • Adhere to and enforce best practices related to security, code quality, and performance.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of full stack development experience in modern web applications.
  • Deep expertise in:
  • React
  • Node.js & Express
  • PostgreSQL
  • Snowflake (or similar cloud-based data warehousing tools)
  • Mandatory: Hands-on experience working on healthcare-related projects, especially those involving:
  • Claims processing
  • Clinical data systems
  • HL7 and CCDA standards
  • Strong understanding of API design, third-party integrations, and RESTful services.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage complex project tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Must be able to work EST hours or within adjacent time zones in Latin America.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in startups or high-growth, fast-paced environments.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and best practices for handling sensitive healthcare data.
  • Experience mentoring junior developers or leading small tech teams.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments (e.g., Docker), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).

  • Effective team player and communicator across distributed, remote teams.
