Job Title: Full-Stack Developer (Education / SaaS / MVP)

Location: LATAM, South Africa and Eastern Europe (Remote) (Preferred Candidates)

About Us

We're an early-stage startup on a mission to revolutionize standardized test preparation for high school students. Our initial MVP — developed via Upwork — is close to launch, and we're now looking for a full-time technical partner to take the reins post-launch. This is a unique opportunity to help shape a product from the ground up, with real-world impact and direct access to school clients.

The Role

We’re seeking a Full-Stack Developer to take ownership of our MVP platform, drive the next wave of product development, and lead lightweight customizations for school-based deployments. This is more than a dev job — it’s a chance to help define the future of an education technology product in its most formative stage.

What You'll Do

  • Own and improve the MVP platform — maintain performance, fix bugs, and scale for growth.
  • Implement white-label customizations for school partners (logos, branding, toggles).
  • Build and iterate on features based on user feedback and a prioritized product roadmap.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Collaborate directly with the founder to align on priorities and product strategy.
  • (Optional) Support technical aspects of school onboarding during pilot rollouts.

Tech Stack & Requirements

Must-Have:

  • Strong front-end experience (React, Vue, or similar frameworks).
  • Back-end proficiency in one or more of: Node.js, Python, PHP.
  • Database experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
  • Familiarity with GitHub/GitLab and modern development workflows.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience working on education or learning platforms.
  • Familiarity with white-label SaaS models or modular feature toggling.

Who You Are

  • A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, unstructured environments.
  • Comfortable working independently and making informed technical decisions.
  • Strong communicator who enjoys collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Organized, reliable, and responsive — you deliver consistently and take ownership.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
