I’m helping Hikru find a top candidate to join their team for the role of Frontend Developer (Razor Views + Javascript + Typescript) with a flexible type of job.

You'll enhance mission-critical UIs and boost usability in a legacy-to-modern .NET MVC transformation project.

Compensation:

USD 2K - 2.3K/month.

Location:

Remote (specific timezone) - GMT-09:00 to GMT-03:00.

About the Project:

You will join a critical web-application modernization effort that’s currently behind schedule.

A partial ASP .NET Core MVC app already exists; your mission will be focused on the frontend layer, enhancing and stabilizing UI components for a production-ready release.

We’re looking for a Frontend Developer with experience working in .NET MVC environments, particularly with Razor Views, JavaScript, TypeScript, and HTML.

You’ll contribute to:

  • Understanding and extending the existing frontend codebase.
  • Enhancing interactive components.
  • Ensuring consistent UI behavior and quality through testing and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • UI Development: Build and improve user interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and Razor views.
  • UX Improvements: Enhance existing components for usability and responsiveness.
  • JavaScript Logic: Implement dynamic frontend behavior, including event handling, validation, and interactivity.
  • Testing: Write and maintain unit tests for frontend components.
  • Documentation: Contribute to frontend-specific documentation, such as UI behavior and component usage.

Required Skills & Experience

  • JavaScript / TypeScript / HTML / JQuery: 3+ years creating interactive, semantic, and accessible frontends.
  • Razor Views: Experience working in .NET MVC environments, modifying and styling server-rendered pages.
  • Testing: Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, or similar).
  • Communication & Ownership: Ability to work autonomously, communicate clearly, and deliver high-quality UI.

Bonus Points

  • Experience improving frontend performance and accessibility.
  • Exposure to legacy-to-modern UI migrations.
  • Familiarity with design systems or component libraries.
