Frontend Developer

Mercor is seeking a talented remote frontend contractor to contribute to cutting-edge projects with global visibility. This role is ideal for a design-minded engineer with a passion for user experience and a proven track record of building or contributing to solid open-source frontend projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build clean, responsive, and accessible UI components using modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Svelte).
• Translate product requirements and design mockups into fully functional interfaces.
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers and product designers to shape intuitive user experiences.
• Contribute to internal design systems and reusable component libraries.
• Review, maintain, and enhance open-source frontend contributions and documentation.
• Ensure high performance and responsiveness across platforms and devices.

You're a great fit if you have:

• A strong portfolio of frontend projects, ideally including open-source contributions.
• Solid experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React preferred).
• An eye for design, UI/UX principles, and user-centered development.
• Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Sketch) and implementation of design systems.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD workflows, and code review best practices.
• A self-driven work ethic and comfort working independently in remote environments.

Role Details:

• Part-time with flexible hours.
• 100% remote and asynchronous—work at your own pace and schedule.

Compensation & Legal:

• You’ll be engaged as an hourly contractor via Mercor.
• Payments processed weekly through Stripe Connect.
