About The Role

EBSCO is seeking an experienced Front-End Developer to build responsive, accessible user interfaces for our products. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features that meet business goals. This is a fully remote, U.S.-based role.

Responsibilities

  • Implement UI features from design mockups using React and Next.js
  • Fetch and manage API data with clear handling of loading and error states
  • Write semantic HTML and responsive CSS to ensure optimal user experience
  • Follow accessibility best practices, focusing on keyboard navigation and usability
  • Participate in and lead code reviews and technical discussions
  • Use Git for version control and collaborative development
  • Debug and troubleshoot frontend issues effectively
  • Stay current with modern frontend technologies and contribute to continuous UI improvements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of front-end development experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Proficiency with React and Next.js or similar modern JavaScript frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with full-stack JavaScript frameworks like Next.js
  • Passion for accessibility and user-centered design
  • Comfortable working from design tools such as Figma or design mockups
  • Collaborative mindset with openness to feedback
  • Skilled at debugging using browser developer tools
