Bonafide is seeking an innovative, hands-on Director of Marketing Analytics to spearhead the build-out of an advanced analytics function across the Uqora and Equelle women’s health brands. In this key operating role, the Director of Marketing Analytics will work alongside the Uqora and Equelle marketing teams to deliver insights that drive business impact and support commercial strategy and execution as we grow our omni-channel presence. As a leader within our analytics team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our data-driven approach, implementing new systems and processes and collaborating with our existing Bonafide analytics and engineering teams. Ultimately reporting to the VP of Analytics - Women’s Health, with a strong dotted line to the VPs of Commercial for Uqora and Equelle.

Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:

  • Serve as an analytical operating partner with commercial team, providing analytical leadership and promoting a data-driven culture across the organization.
  • Partner cross-functionally to distill complex data into strategic insights and recommendations that improve marketing efficiency, drive growth, and inform marketing strategy. More specifically, offer expert-level analytics across DTC marketing strategies, media spend optimization, and performance marketing channels. Proactively identify areas for improvement across KPIs such as subscription rate, conversion rate, repurchase rates, and lifetime value.
  • Implement, manage and interpret our multi-touch-attribution (MTA) and/or media mix modeling (MMM) software tools, providing strategic recommendations designed to improve customer acquisition cost (CAC) and optimize media mix and spend.
  • Evaluate lifecycle marketing strategies, providing strategic recommendations to improve customer retention and lifetime value (LTV).
  • Design and implement BI dashboards to monitor key performance indicators and performance of key initiatives.
  • Support evaluation of omni-channel marketing strategies by analyzing cross-channel performance across DTC, Amazon and retail to assess impact on CAC and LTV.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor a small team of expert analysts, providing guidance on priorities and support in their day-to-day activities

Capabilities & Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with an advanced degree preferred in business analytics, statistics, mathematics, or other quantitative discipline
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial or marketing analytics roles in a DTC subscription business (including Amazon). Retail/omni-channel experience a plus.
  • Proven experience in driving business performance through analytics insights, recommendations, and decision support across customer acquisition and retention domains
  • Hands-on experience with complex databases and BI tools, along with a deep understanding of performance marketing metrics across e-commerce acquisition and retention tactics
  • Experience making strategic recommendations based on output of MTA and/or MMM tools.
  • Exhibit a visionary, attentive, and adaptable approach, capable of designing complex systems and collaborating with senior leadership to make data-driven decisions
  • Strong leadership qualities with a track record of delivering business impact and leading key initiatives while developing direct reports. Ability to manage deadlines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations
  • SQL proficiency and BI tool experience (Looker and/or Tableau)
  • Working knowledge of statistical testing methodologies and predictive analytics
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to articulate clearly and effectively orally and in writing

Location and Work Model

Remote candidates being considered but with a strong preference for candidates in the Pacific and Mountain time zones given Uqora and Equelle’s location in San Diego. Expect to travel to San Diego at least once per quarter or as business needs require.

National Target Base Pay Range: $135,000.00 - $235,000.00.

The salary range for this position is based on national standards. For candidates in California and the New York metro, the Target Base Pay Range is $150,000.00 - $262,000.00, to reflect the cost of living and market conditions in those areas.

Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment. Our total rewards package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, Medical, dental and vision benefits, 401K match, and other wellness benefits.
