Digital and Website Designer
- Location: Remote, but preference to those local to Indianapolis, Indiana
- Full-Time, W-2 Employee (MUST be authorized to work in the US). Please note that this is NOT a 1099 position
- Working hours required between 10-4pm ET, Monday-Friday, with remaining hours flexible so long as meetings are attended and deadlines are met.
NOTE: This is not a UX or product design position. You’ll be focused on marketing visuals, full website designs, social media graphics, and brand identity - not app flows or wireframes.
🐾 Who We Are (and Why You’ll Want In)
At FlyDog Digital, we don’t do gimmicks - we do grounded, ROI-focused digital marketing for founder-led brands that want to scale with soul. Whether it’s SEO, branding, social media, or a website that converts like hell, our work is strategic, streamlined, and - most importantly - human.
Our founder, Carly Kerndt, started FlyDog with a bold vision: to do marketing differently. That means high standards without the burnout, thoughtful communication without the micromanagement, and a team culture that values people as people. We’ve built something special here - and now, we’re ready for someone like you to help us keep leveling up.
Why Work With Us?
- We’re a small-but-mighty crew that believes in clarity, collaboration, and creative freedom.
- You’ll be trusted to do your best work—no corporate fluff, no hovering managers.
- Weekly team calls mix business updates with personal wins and book club chats.
- We respect your whole self: Got a dentist appointment? Sick kid? Life happens. We're flexible and human.
- You’ll be working on meaningful projects that actually move the needle for cool, conscious clients.
Why This Role is for You
You’re not just a designer - you’re a thinker. A visual storyteller. A branding brain with an eye for clean lines and a knack for nailing client vibes. You love strategy as much as style and aren’t afraid to ask sharp questions in a kickoff meeting or challenge creative direction (respectfully, of course).
You’re the right person for this role if you…
- Have experience building brand identities that make people say “yep, that’s the one.”
- Feel confident juggling websites, social graphics, and lead magnet design with little hand-holding.
- Are fluent in Figma, Canva, or Adobe - and fluent in explaining your design choices.
- Take feedback like a pro and offer it just as thoughtfully.
- Genuinely give a damn about the client’s goals and how your work supports them.
You Might Not Be a Fit If…
- You prefer to be told what to do rather than owning your projects.
- You get flustered without crystal-clear directions.
- You think branding is just about making things look pretty.
- You struggle with deadlines or leave Slack messages hanging for days.
- You need micromanagement to stay on track.

Project Ownership & Team Collaboration
