We are seeking an experienced and security-focused Developer to join our product team building Android-based payment applications. You will primarily work on the development and maintenance of our Android POS terminal software, occasionally contributing to auxiliary tools and apps that support our core products. Security is at the heart of what we do—we adhere to strict standards like PCI DSS and P2PE, and you'll play a key role in upholding them. This role reports to the **Team Lead, Terminal Development.

This is a remote position located in Ireland. Candidates must reside in Ireland to be considered.**

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain secure and scalable Android POS applications.
  • Implement cryptographic protocols, secure communication, and secure data storage.
  • Collaborate with QA, security, and backend teams for full-stack alignment.
  • Ensure full compliance with PCI, P2PE, and other relevant standards.
  • Design, build, and troubleshoot supporting applications and backend services.
  • Integrate with hardware-level APIs and embedded systems where needed.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented, and testable code.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Java and Android SDK is essential, with the ability to develop, maintain, and optimize Android applications.
  • Experience working with GoLang is required, particularly in building backend services or high-performance components.
  • Strong familiarity with C++ is expected, especially in systems-level or embedded development environments.
  • Candidates must have hands-on experience with SQL Databases, including writing complex queries, data modeling, and optimizing relational database performance.
  • A solid understanding of Cryptography is required, including implementing encryption, key management, and secure data storage in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of EMV, contactless payments, or terminal-level SDKs is preferred, particularly for those with experience in payment processing or POS integrations.
  • Development experience with Flutter is preferred, especially in building cross-platform mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with Kotlin is preferred, as it is increasingly used for modern Android development.
  • Understanding of Lua is preferred, particularly in scripting for embedded systems or application customization.
