**About the Role**

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Backend Engineer to join our core technology team at our Gurgaon corporate headquarters or our regional office in Noida. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects that shape the future of supply chain management in India. As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust backend services that power our tech-enabled supply chain platform. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing system performance, reliability, and scalability, supporting our mission to deliver innovative logistics solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java-based backend development and a passion for building scalable, efficient, and secure systems in a collaborative environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and web services that facilitate seamless communication between frontend interfaces and various backend systems.
  • Design, model, and implement database schemas and data models to support application features and operational needs.
  • Build and optimize Java-based backend applications for our supply chain software products, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, front-end developers, and other engineering teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.
  • Conduct code reviews, perform testing, and debug issues to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Continuously monitor and improve application performance, security, and stability.
  • Utilize containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes to deploy and manage services efficiently.
  • Follow Agile development methodologies, participate in sprint planning, and contribute to continuous integration and deployment workflows.
  • Stay updated on the latest technology trends and best practices, and incorporate them into the development process.

**Qualifications & Experience**

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Between 5 to 8 years of professional experience in Java-based backend development.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, and SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs and working within microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Experience with Agile development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems such as Git.
  • Ability to write clean, scalable, and testable code.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.

**Work Environment**

This is a full-time, work-from-office role based at our Gurgaon headquarters or Noida regional office. Our company policies do not support moonlighting. We observe alternate Saturdays off, with the second and fourth Saturdays being non-working days. We utilize HRMS tools like Keka and TimeDoctor to manage attendance, productivity, and performance.
