Location

The Role: Backend Software Engineer

This backend-focused role is central to the design, development, and maintenance of APIs, services, and systems. Responsibilities span across building scalable features, refining internal tooling, and contributing to both the product and technical roadmap. Ideal candidates will have deep experience in building highly available APIs and a strong understanding of data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services.
• Partner with stakeholders to architect and implement new services end-to-end.
• Develop and launch new product features that deliver real customer value.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and delivery.
• Write and maintain user-facing technical documentation.
• Contribute to a strong engineering culture and uphold high technical standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in web backend development.
• Proficiency in Golang is a strong plus.
• Background in data engineering is highly desirable.
• Proven success delivering high-quality production systems.
• Empathetic, customer-first mindset.
• Experience in banking or fintech and familiarity with fraud prevention or compliance is preferred.
• Fluent in English, both conversational and formal.

Compensation

Base salary: $50,000 – $70,000 USD, plus equity with significant upside and competitive benefits. Final compensation is determined by factors such as location, experience, and interview performance.
