VetsEZ is seeking a recent graduate developer team lead with RESTful experience to support a critical development initiative. This role involves developing a robust suite of RESTful APIs using modern programming practices that interface with our specialized healthcare technology. Developers will have the opportunity to build upon their modern development skillset, alongside opportunities to learn and specialize in healthcare IT technologies.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of interns/college students by providing API development mentorship and coaching, managing work progress/output, ensuring quality control, and managing staff schedule under the guidance of VetsEZ's program development lead.
  • Designing, code, test, and debug a variety of programming languages using the latest programming techniques.
  • Learn and become proficient with related technologies in the development lifecycle including Git and version control, JSON, API testing tools, and Jira.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or declared major in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience leading a development team, including developers and testers.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming (Java, Python, etc.) and either RESTful APIs or SQL. Experience with all three preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-stakeholder, Agile, and DevSecOps environment.
  • Ability to obtain a Federal Government clearance.

Additional Qualifications

  • Utilization of Git and version control a plus.
  • Experience with JSON a plus.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, etc. a plus.
  • Experience with JIRA a plus.
