Backend Software Developer, Entry Level, (Remote)

Job Summary:

Hagerty Consulting, Inc. is the nation's leading emergency management and homeland security consulting firm. They are seeking a Backend Software Developer to help build out their technology footprint, focusing on developing and maintaining their IT cloud infrastructure and backend systems.

Responsibilities:

• Implement development and production environments utilizing AWS technology stacks, including event driven architecture, gateways, lambdas, etc.
• Design/develop/build/test APIs to integrate our growing cloud (vendor) platforms and handle process automation
• Build/execute test frameworks, plans, and software that is secured appropriately based on security best practices
• Assist in the creating and furthering automation builds, testing, and auditing capabilities
• Create documentation as needed (process flows, architecture, procedures, security procedures, test plans, code reviews, etc.)
• Assist with backend platform integrations and implementations
• Build Batch processes as needed
• Provide production support for developed solutions and enhance/refactor existing solutions as needed

Qualifications:

Required:

• 1-2+ years of coding, software development, cloud technologies, or related experience required
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience and aptitude with at least one backend programming language, such as JavaScript, and strong understanding of API development/utilization
• Knowledgeable with cloud platforms, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure

Preferred:

• Prior work with a relational database and associated language, such as SQL, as well as IDE (Visual Studio, Postman, etc.)
