Backend Developer - Remote

Software and applications experience:

• 3-5 years
• Experience with integrating external external APIs, especially in fintech
• Experience designing database structures and software architecture
• Experience with web scraping

Responsibilities:

• Integrate with external APIs to manage HSA/FSA accounts
• Implement web scraping for common online merchants (e.g. Amazon) for users’ order stories
• Integrate with existing Typescript/NestJS framework

Required hard and soft skills:

Hard skills

• NestJS + Typescript (or a similar NodeJS-based framework)
• Proficiency with data structures and algorithms
• Networking fundamentals
• Web security fundamentals
• Able to write E2E tests

Soft skills

• Self-starter – remaining unblocked, finding creative solutions
• Ability to work in a team – helping others, writing documentation, reviewing code
• Attention to detail – proactively finding edge cases
